Sean Alexander Scott 45, of Charlotte, NC passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of Sean Alexander Scott, who departed this life on October 29, 2025, at the age of 45. Born on April 30, 1980, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sean was the beloved son of Latanya Scott McLain.

Sean’s intellectual gifts were recognized early in his academic journey, where he was selected for Advanced Placement classes throughout his school years—a testament to his dedication to learning and excellence. His sharp mind and distinctive personality made him unforgettable to all who knew him, earning him the endearing nicknames “Blink” and “Helix” among his cherished circle of friends.

A man of unwavering loyalty, Sean was a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan who never missed a game, embodying the team’s spirit of resilience and dedication in his own life. His enthusiasm for his team was just one reflection of his capacity for deep commitment and love.

Sean was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Ella Troy Scott, and his stepfather, Stanley McLain, who welcomed him into his family.

His memory will be forever treasured by his devoted fiancée, Dawn Sewell, and his loving mother, Latanya McLain and his father, Bryan Turner of Atlanta Ga.  Sean’s legacy of love continues through his surviving family: his brother Bryan (Olivia),  his uncle’s Fernando (Dorothy) and Tyrone; his stepsisters Marjorie (Jamal) and Star (Garry); his grandfather Joe Louis Scott (Gracie); his great aunt Cheryl (Anthony); and his great-great aunt Mary Ann. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends whose lives were touched by his presence.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be announced before year’s end. In lieu of flowers, share a memory of Sean’s vibrant spirit. His laughter, love, and unwavering loyalty will forever soar in our hearts. “Fly high, dear Eagle.”
