Mary Louise (Miller) Helton, 91, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Logan Chapel CME Church, 9505 Parkton Road, Charlotte, NC 28215. Family and friends are invited to share expressions of love and support between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

A Homegoing Celebration honoring Mrs. Helton’s life will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Parkwood Institutional CME Church, 802 Tom Hunter Rd, Charlotte, NC 28213. Public viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service promptly at 11:00 a.m.

For those unable to attend in person, the Homegoing Celebration will be live streamed. A link to the service will be available via a live streaming platform which will be provided on Parkwood’s website by notating “click here to view Home – Parkwood CME Mary Louise (Miller) Helton’s Homegoing Celebration.”
