James Arrey Forrest

Born – 5/3/1956                 Died – 6/12/2026

James Arrey Forrest, 70, transitioned his earthly life at Hospice House – Southminster to his heavenly home early Friday morning on 6/12/26. James encountered numerous health conditions that aggressively attacked his body. Memories of fun beach trips, camping, car shows and attending motorcycle events will be lovingly cherished by his spouse, Debra M. Forrest.

James was a Car Enthusiast and an avid Motorcyclist. James was awarded many years of trophies for the love and details he put into his sportbikes. The first trophy winner was a Yamaha R1. Then there was his pride and joy, a Suzuki Hayabusa hyperbike that has truly been award winning.

James was employed with United Parcel Services for 35 years. There he created heartfelt friendships and lifelong relationships.

James attended Cabarrus County Schools and graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School where he excelled in academics and athletics.

James was born the youngest of eight to Otho and Fay Forrest (deceased). James is survived by 3 sons, Marquette Weathers, Arkevius Forrest and Jacques Forrest and daughter, Dawn. Siblings include Homer Forrest (deceased), Bobby Forrest (deceased), Helen Miller (deceased), Melvin Forrest (Janet), Joyce Jones, Margeret Lawson (Hezekiah) and Bertha Smith.

James’ committal will occur at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney Street, Pineville, NC following the Homegoing Celebration.
