To the family and friends of my SiStar Gwendolyn Orr-Blackmon, you have my deepest condolences and my prayers. Gwen was a character. Whenever I did see Gwen, she would always have me laughing. She was a good person. I'm glad I got the opportunity to visit with her, and even then we had laughs. I pray God will give each of you comfort, strength and peace that passes all understanding.

I worked with Gwen for many years in computer operations at First Union. She was extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher/mentor. She was soft spoken and a joy to work with. We shared many great moments and laughs. I still have a going away card she gave me when I transferred to another department. Gwen was someone special. My condolences to the entire family. Life is eternal And love is immortal And death is only a horizon...Carly Simon

To the family of Gwendolyn Orr-Blackmon, I just learned today of her passing. My heart is saddened by this news as I knew she had been ill and I was praying that she became well again. I am very good friends with Gwendolyn's identical twin sister Goldwyne, and have been connected to this family for more than 50 years. Gwen and I became connected when I met her identical twin sister, Goldwyne while we were both students at JCSU. At that time I could not tell them apart. Shortly after I met Goldwyne, I saw Gwen at the grocery store and she didn't speak to me. I said "Goldwyne, so you are not going to speak to me?" Gwen shook her head and said "No, this is not Goldwnye, this is Gwen." I will never forget that day. Gwen had a beautiful sense of humor and when we spoke, she always made me laugh. She was very down to earth, very honest and had such a great sense of humor. These are valuable traits that I love about people and she was good people. I love the Flanders family, and have always felt very close to them. Gwen will be missed, especially by her twin sister and my forever friend, Goldwyne. Family, I am here for you, and if I can help in any way, I'm just a phone call away.. Please know that my heart and thoughts are with you during this sad time. May God strengthen you as you remember all of the beautiful times you spent with Gwendolyn. God has welcomed this beautiful child, and she's in excellent hands now. Glory be to God! May Gwen now rest in peace. Love to the family, Irene Delores Tyson & Family
