Maggie Louise Phifer Robinson

Mrs.Maggie Louise Phifer Robinson,91, of Charlotte, NC passed away Thursday, February 28, 2020 at Peak Resources Nursing & Rehab. Center. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 5,2020 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 232 Skyland Ave. Charlotte, NC 28211. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in the Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens 11201 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntersville,NC 28078.

Mrs. Maggie Louise Phifer Robinson was born on April 20, 1925, daughter of the late James and Hattie Phifer in Harrisburg, North Carolina.

Sister Robinson accepted Christ as her Saviour at Oakgrove Missionary Baptist Church  in Harrisburg, North Carolina.

From a young age, she loved the Lord with all her heart and soul!

In her adult life she was a faithful and dedicated member and Deacon of Antioch Baptist Church for over 70 years. During her time at Antioch, she organized a young people’s Usher Board all  while serving on the Adult Usher Board.

One of Sister Robinson’s  favorite things was music!  Because of her love of music, she was a member of the Church Hymn Choir, The Note Choir, City Wide Hymn Choir and several other choirs.

With all of her  church obligations at Antioch she was  a faithful member of the Finance Committee.

She took part in almost every church organization that she could, because of her tenacity and love of Christ she was loved by many, far and wide. She never met a stranger.

Mother(Mama) Robinson as she was known to many departed this life February 28, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Lee Robinson, one son Willie Lee Robinson.

She leaves to celebrate her life:  daughter , Margaret R. Jones,(Charlotte NC)  son, Charles H. DuPree,( Charlotte NC) Grandson, Steven J Alston, ( Charlotte NC), Granddaughter, Maria L. Alston

Several  great grandchildren, nieces ,nephews,cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
