Elizabeth “Liz” Lowe, returned to her heavenly home on May 28, 2019 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her as her spirit took flight at 7:47 AM as she ascended to Heaven.
Liz was born to the late Edward and Martha Daniels in Yemassee, SC on December 31, 1943 a special New Year’s Eve gift! She received her education in the Hampton County school system. She relocated to Mount Vernon, NY in 1961, where she met the love of her life Lawrence Lowe. Lawrence and Liz were joined in holy matrimony on June 25, 1966. Lawrence and Liz lived in Brooklyn, NY for most of their lives where they raised their children until retiring to Charlotte, NC in 2007. They worked hard all of their lives and realized their dreams of purchasing their retirement dream home and traded the hustle and bustle of NY for a much quieter life in NC. Liz enjoyed her retirement in Charlotte and enjoyed the beautiful flowers that adorn her home.
In 2012 she became a member of Nations Ford Community Church and quickly became an active member in the Senior Ministry. She enjoyed attending the senior meetings and fellowshipping with members of her senior group.
Liz never met a stranger; anyone she came into contact with would quickly develop into a friendship. She enjoyed meeting people and sharing the good news of the Lord with them. Liz loved her family and enjoyed being around them and especially enjoyed cooking for people. It gave her great pleasure cooking and watching people enjoy eating her cooking, to her it was the highest compliment. She was a very giving person and had a sweet and kind spirit and was not one to complain.
While she will be missed, we know that she is resting in the arms of the eternal Father. Liz had faith the size of a mustard seed and she never wavered in her faith during any of her trials. She often said “what don’t kill you will make you stronger”. She loved the Lord and professed her love for him even in her last days, she didn’t fear death because she knew Heaven would be her home.
Preceding her in death was her mother and father Martha and Edward Daniels; her grandson, Devon Daniels; her sisters Annie Lee Daniels; Cora Lee Simmons; Ruthann Daniels; Roseanna Daniels and Mattie Howard and one brother Edward Daniels. She leaves to love and cherish her memories her husband of almost 53 years, Lawrence W.
