Nancy Victoria Goodman

Ms Nancy Victoria Goodman 64, of Charlotte, NC passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Levine & Dickson Hospice Huntersville. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Greenville Memorial AME Zion Church 6116 Monteith Dr. Charlotte, NC 28213. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Doggett Grove A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery 651 Doggett Rd., Forest City, NC 28043.

Nancy Victoria Goodman was born on April 22, 1954 to Hanson Lee Goodman and Martha Mosely Goodman in Forest City, NC. Nancy (Vickey) received her formal education through the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and graduated from Myers Park High School.

Vickey was a faithful member of Greenville Memorial AME Zion Church where she was a member of the Mass Choir (which she loved), the Missionary Society and the Health and Wellness Ministry which she served as a certified fitness instructor. Vickey was also a member of the Village Heartbeat Team through the Mecklenburg County Health Department.

She was most recently employed with Charlotte Mecklenburg School System in addition to J P Morgan Chase. She enjoyed traveling with the church with Hearts of Gold Tours, spending time with her mother, siblings and extended family.

Vickey peacefully departed this life on January 11, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Hanson L. Goodman and a brother, James Aaron Goodman of Charlotte, NC. She leaved to cherish her memory, her mother, Martha Goodman; sisters, Charlotte Goodman and Marla Goodman of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Thomas Morrisey of Capitol Heights, MD and Hanson Jeffrey Goodman of Charlotte, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
