Alexander Bennett, Sr.

Mr. Alexander Bennett, Sr. 58 of  Charlotte, NC passed away Monday January 7, 2019 at Novant Health Main Charlotte, NC. Funeral service will be held Friday January 11, 2019 at Long & Son  Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in the Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens 11201 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntervsille, NC 28078.

Mr. Alexander Bennett Sr. son of the late Jennie B. McLendon and Beatrice Robinson (was blessed with two mothers) was born in New York City on December 23, 1960.  Mr. Bennett passed away at Presbyterian Hospital on January 7, 2019 after a brief illness.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and always willing to go above and beyond to lend a helping hand.

Alexander ran a youth program in Manhattan, NY for five years. He loved to ride his motorcycle, play and watch basketball. He was a home body who loved quality time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Teresa Bennett whom he was married to since August 20, 1987, one son Mr. Alexander Bennett Jr., his wife Kristen Bennett, one granddaughter Armani Bennett, one brother Christopher Bennett of Washington DC, one sister Linda Bennett of Charlotte, NC a host of nieces and nephews as well as his Novant Family.
