Bernice Zimmerman slipped away from family and friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Bernice was born April 27, 1963 in Charlotte, NC to the late Embertha Zimmerman and Lola B. Zimmerman. Bernice attended school in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in 1981. She attended West Georgia College later known as the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. Bernice worked several years at Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Atlanta, GA. After working in the public sector, Bernice turned to her entrepreneurial spirit. She started a peddler greeting card business selling her original designs throughout the Atlanta Metro Area for many years until her health failed. Bernice was known for having an infectious personality of making everyone laugh. There was never a dull moment in her presence. She met no strangers. She was outspoken and always the leader in the group. She also had a giving spirit that was contagious. Bernice leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Lola Burgess Zimmerman of Charlotte, NC, a brother, Emery Elex Zimmerman of Charlotte, NC; two sisters Pansy Lee Crumpler (Ronnie) of Clayton, NC and Christina Zimmerman of Charlotte, NC; a very special aunt and uncle, Geraldine and Heywood Zimmerman of Ellenwood, GA; one niece, Kaci Lee Crumpler of Clayton, NC; one nephew, Karsten Klein Crumpler, of Clayton, NC; one great nephew, Kingston Blake Crumpler of Clayton, NC and a host of loving aunts, cousins, friends and classmates. |
