Mrs. Ella Mae Adams Barnett 78, of Charlotte,NC. passed away Tuesday, September 18,2018 at Novant Health Main Charlotte. Wake service will be held Saturday, September 22,2018 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral service will take place on Sunday September 23,2018 at  O`Zion AME Zion Church 13921 Hamilton Road Charlotte, NC 28273.

On Tuesday night September 18, 2018 Ella Mae Barnett was called home to the peace and joy of our Lord and Savior. Waiting to greet her with a warm embrace were her parents, Lucille and Ezulles Adams, her loving husband Willie James Barnett, her beloved sons, Mark Anthony Robinson, Marvin Robinson and Jimmy Bernard Robinson, one step daughter Dora Robinson, her pride and joy, grandson Malcolm LaRico Robinson, two brothers, Jerimiah Adams and James Adams, her friend and sister Gladys Miller and sister in-law Joyce Adams. What a celebration!!!

Ella Mae graduated from Second Ward High School in Charlotte, NC. After graduating, she met her first love Jimmy Robinson. From this union four children were born, she later met and married the love of her life Willie James Barnett.

Ella Mae was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and friend. She loved entertaining and cooking for her family and friends.

Ella Mae accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was a member of O’Zion A.M.E. Zion Church where she attended until her health failed her.

Ella’s family brought her greatest joy. Loving memories will be cherished by her devoted daughter Robin Gaskin (James), grandson Fernando Ader (Trice) of Charlotte, NC, granddaughter April Robinson (Eric) of Polkton, NC, her brother Ezell Adams of Charlotte, NC, three sisters in-law Jessie Roberts, Eunice Lowery and Ailer Littlejohn all of Charlotte, NC, a host of family and friends, including her best friend of 55 years Mrs. Daisy Redfern.
