Mr. Eric Fizgerald Gaston, 53, of Charlotte,NC. passed away Wednesday July 11,2018 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Monday July 16,2018 at Torrence Grove AME Zion Church. 1200 Torrence Grove Church Rd. Charlotte, NC 28213. Visitation will begin at 11 :00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm .Interment will be Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens. 11201 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntersville,NC 28078.

Mr. Eric Fitzgerald Gaston was born December 7, 1964 to the late Ernest Gaston and the late Betty White Gaston in Charlotte, NC.

Eric was a graduate from Garinger High School, Class of 1984, where he excelled as a football player and an all around star athlete. Eric, who for health reasons retired from Florida Tile in 2017.

Mr. Eric Gaston is survived by his loving wife Shirnetta Gaston of the home, his step mother Mary Gaston of Charlotte, NC, a daughter Shalonda Lawing of Charlotte, NC, a son Eric Wilson of Lincolnton, NC, two step daughters, Shakira Kornegay (Marcus) and Na’talya Stanley both reside in Charlotte, NC, two stepsons Adarius White and Ta’Darien White both of Greenville, NC. two sisters, Ernestine Washington of Charlotte, NC, Karen Lineburg of Pittsburgh, PA, one brother Shawn Nichols of Charlotte, NC, one step brother, Gerry Garrison (Sharon) of Baltimore, MD, his mother in-law Isabelle Mackin of Concord, NC, father in-law Roddy West and Vurnell Smith both of Charlotte, NC, thirteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister Mrs. Brenda Harris.
