Mary Lynn Anderson Stafford, (Mae) 88, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Charlotte Square Assistant Living facility in Charlotte. A walk-in viewing for family and the public will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Long and Son Mortuary, 2312 Beatties Ford Road from 1 pm to 3pm. Graveside services are Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Noon at Henderson Grove Presbyterian Church, 8724 Blair Road, Mint Hill, NC with Rev. Michael Marsh officiating.

Mrs. Mary A. Stafford, loving known as “Mae” was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Stafford; one of her twin daughters, Brenda Patterson and her mother, Mrs. Creola Brooks.
Mary is survived by her twin daughter, Linda Patterson; step daughter, Mrs. Andrea Byers (Michael) and step son; Dwight Stafford; grandsons: Darryl Patterson (Michelle); Harold Patterson, Richard Long, III; Deon Stafford; one granddaughter, Denetra Patterson, of Charlotte. Her very dear and special friends, Mrs. Kay Francis Berry and Mrs. Betty Broadway (deceased) became her “sisters” because they had such a close bond and shared many wonderful years together as family; two sisters in law, Mrs. Hattie
Dunn and Mrs. Mamie Stafford; her god-daughter; Taryn Jill Stafford, she affectionately called “Jillian” and many other nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
