Porsha Monique Forte`

Miss Porsha Monique Forte, 31 of Charlotte, NC passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Novant Health Main. Public viewing will be held Monday, July 6, 2020 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel 1:00 pm – 4:00pm. Private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Porsha Monique Forte, was born on March 27, 1990 in Philadelphia, PA to James E. Bennett and Penny Forte. She peacefully departed this life on July 1, 2020 at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte NC.

She was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. She received a certificate of excellence for creative writing. She enjoyed being a part of dance class.

In the past, she worked in areas of hotels and restaurants.

Porsha loved her children and was admired by everyone who knew her. She knew what loyalty meant because she demonstrated it to her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor that was larger than life and could brighten up a room with her smile.

As we close this chapter of Porsha’s life, she leaves her legacy to be cherished; therefore, let us continue to protect and care for her children, Dominique Battle, Daonna Evans, Donta Evans, Va’nicia Carter, Vardary Carter, Vita Carter and Story Copeland all of Charlotte, NC; her parents, James Bennett of Marshville, NC, Penny Forte Boone of Charlotte, NC; sisters and brothers, Ebone Boone, Summer Boone, Michael Boone all of Charlotte NC, Xavier Crowder, Xemtry Bennett, Jemisha Bennett, James Bennett, Jr. all of Monroe, NC.; maternal grandmother, Mary Bridges Forte Baker of Fayetteville, NC.; niece, Genesis Boone, nephew, Ezekiel Boone of Charlotte, NC; special friend Shonquaves Copeland and godson Shonquaveaon Copeland of Charlotte NC; her besties, Demetria Evans, Shareka Carter, Anequia James; aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Porsha was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lee Forte and her paternal grandparents, Charlie Bennett and Maryleen Staten.
