We have all spent the better part of 2020 adjusting to a new “normal” due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As “essential” businesses, funeral services have had to conduct a complete overhaul of many practices to respond to the impact of this novel virus. From reducing funeral size to eliminating car services, Long & Son has implemented many new procedures to protect the safety of its customers and employees.
Though we have had to make changes to many of our normal routines, we remain steadfast in our commitment to excellence in quality and service. We stay abreast of communications from the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service, the Centers for Disease Control, and the North Carolina Governor so that we may serve the public safely but without compromising the level of care that we have always provided.
For the third year in a row, we have maintained our commitment to serving North Carolina students by donating supplies to the C.W. Williams Community Health Center for its annual Community Health Event. School students are also facing incredible challenges this year. The Long & Son Family has always valued education and, despite COVID challenges, we wanted this year to be no different.
As one of the Westside’s oldest businesses, we want to remain one of the institutions on which the Charlotte community can continue to rely.
