Xavier Zaacheaus Simmons, age 55, passed on January 11, 2026, at his home in Waxhaw, NC, surrounded by his family. Xavier was a graduate of Independence Sr High School. He was a God-Fearing, Free-spirited, Loving, Caring and Family oriented man. Xavier will be very deeply missed by all.
Xavier is survived by his mother, Diana Simmons-Duncan (Albert); his father Michael T. Simmons, Sr; his children, daughters, Zaachea S Simmons and Zaacheria S Simmons: sons, Xavier Z Simmons, Jr, Antonio D Simmons, Jercovien A Lynch; sister Micha T. Simmons-Wright (Artexas); brother Michael T Simmons, II; 7 grandchildren; 7 nephews; 3 nieces; 1 great-nephew and a host of other close loving family members.
Public viewing will be Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel from 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM. Celebration of his life will be held Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Parkwood Institutional CME Church 802 Tom Hunter Rd. Charlotte, NC 28213. The remains will lie in repose at 1:30 PM and the Service will follow at 2:30 PM.
