Mr.Winston Carson Branker,73,of Charlotte,NC passed away Wednesday, February 26,2020 at Peak Resources Nursing & Rehab Center Charlotte,NC.Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7,2020 at New Waves of Joy Baptist Church 4739 E W.T.Harris Blvd. Charlotte,NC 28215. Memorial service will begin at 12:00pm and Military Rites will follow the service.Winston Carson Branker was born on March 28, 1946 to Lawrence
and Una Branker in St. Joseph, Barbados W.I. Winston was one of
eight children. He attended the St. Giles Boys Primary School and a
secondary school in Bridgetown, Barbados. Winston came to the
United States and attended Erasmus High School. After he graduated
he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at
Bergstrom AFB in Texas. He became an airplane mechanic. Winston
received an honorable discharge from the Air Force July 1, 1966.
Winston met and married Monica Gordon on May 4, 1968. His only
child was born from this union. They were married for ten years. On
May 5, 1979 Winston married Muriel Jordan. Muriel had one daughter
prior to marriage. Her name is Jacqueline Jordan. Winston and Muriel
eventually settled down in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sadly Muriel
transitioned on December 26, 2012. They were married for thirtythree
years. Winston then married Tywanda Richards on July 11,
2017.
Winston could fix just about anything. He was a mechanic, electrician,
taylor, plummer, chef and master cabinet maker etc.. Anything that
involved the use of his hands gave him joy. He designed and made
various things for Red Lobster. The owner of a prestigious resort in
the Bahamas enlisted Winston’s help with rebuilding the areas that
were damaged by terrible storms and for many other special projects.
He created so many beautiful pieces for a multitude of people.
Everyone was always pleased.
On February 26, 2020 at 12:40pm; Winston took his last breath. His
smile and infectious laughter will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Una Branker,
his sisters Princess Branker, Margot Branker, Ernita Branker(Worrel),
Cynthia Branker(Allen), His brothers Louis Branker and Clayton
Branker and wife Muriel Branker. He leaves to cherish his memory
his brother Philip Branker(Monica) and their three children, daughter
Nicole Branker-Brown, one spunky grand-daughter Deja Brown, two
special daughters Sernell Jackson-Jiggetts and Karla Wilcher,
Tywanda Richards( Wife), a special nephew Louis Ricardo (Ricky)
Branker (Yoshimi) and their three daughters, Monica Branker, and a
host of relatives and friends.
