Service Announcements

Mrs. Wilhelmenia  Tindal – Brown 56, of Charlotte, NC. passed away Tuesday July 25, 2017 at her residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday July 29,2017 at Greater Gethsemane AME Zion Church 531 Campus St. Charlotte, NC 28216. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens.

Wilhelmenia Tindal Brown died peacefully in her home on July 25 2017 in Charlotte. NC due to complications following Ovarian cancer. She was 56.

Mrs.Tindal-Brown was born on April 26, 1961 in Sumpter, SC to her parents, Bertha Mae Rufus and Charles Dantzler. “Menia” graduated from Kings College in 1994 with an associate’s degree  in fine arts degree, and went on to work as a warehouse manager at Houston Wire and cable for the past twelve years.

Mrs. Tindal- Brown was a very patient and supportive mother who loved her faith, her family, friends, and her commitment to the church. Her bright smile and beautiful voice was enough to fill a room alone. Her unselfishness, love and support shined through her in everything she set her mind to.

Mrs. Tindal-Brown is survived by her husband Robert Brown of Charlotte, NC. Step parents Thomas Rufus Sr, and Betsy Rufus. Son Wilbert Eugene Gamble Jr, of Wilmington, NC and her daughter Trey Nicole Gamble of Charlotte, NC. Brothers, Terry Rufus of Sumpter, SC, Thomas Rufus Jr, Jeffry Rufus, and Barry Rufus of Charlotte, NC. Charles Dantzler Jr, Darnell Dantzler, Darell Dantzler, Terell Dantzler all of Baltimore, MD, Edward McGee, and Dale McGee of Sumpter SC. Sisters Rena Dantzler, Charlene Dantzler, and Makeylia James.  Grandchildren Dionte J Gamble-Mathis, and Donovan Gamble.
