Share your Memorial with Family & Friends
As a sister friend of the Los Angeles Black Spades Sorority I enjoyed our time at the Bid Whist table and beyond. You showed us endurance and skills as you often ran a "Boston" (making all the books) and laughing quietly. Thank you for the memories and the times we shared talking about being a grandmother of which you were so proud. God promises 3 score and 10 (70 yrs) .You did a couple extra yrs before he called you home. You fought a good fight and never gave up. Sleep in Heavenly peace Vickie. See you later. God bless and keep your village 🙏

Vickie was the leader of the "V" girls as I call the sisters. She was also my cousin. I always had fun with her. She came to my rescue after the earthquake of 1994. I slept in my car for a while as my apartment was severely damaged, and she found out. She told me to come and stay with her and Michael. I couldn't pay her cash so I helped in every way that I could...watching toddler Michael when I was off work and adventures in the neighborhood getting him to and from the babysitter. (I listened to his directions) . This gave Vickie THE biggest laugh when I told her my navigator. I helped out around her place with housework, walking the dog, and keeping her crazy landlord at bay. But she saved me in ways that she will never know. Her opening her home to me helped to heal me mentally and spiritually. I will be forever grateful and thankful. Rest peacefully my dear cousin Vickie Lynn Obey.
