Oh, my heart breaks. Just learned of Tony's death. Tony was a friend and schoolmate from Morehouse. He was a talented, generous and gentle soul. Rest, my brother.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of my childhood friend, Tony. It is amazing that Tony and I have known each other for over 55 years. We first became friends in kindergarten where Tony, Cardenas, and I were like the three musketeers. It was that beginning where our friendship flourished thru Sunday school, vacation bible school, Summer trips, choir rehearsals and a whole lot of other events at SCBC. Into our pre-teen and teenage years our friendship expanded to include Lamar and Marvin. Those were some of the best years. We played, laughed, had a lot of fun, excelled in school, and most importantly developed our personal relationships with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we grew into our adult years, Tony pursued his dreams of academic excellence in college and graduate degrees. When he became Dr. Tony Brown, I was just as excited as he was. After college, we may not have talked often but when we we did, we reconnected and talked about old times. I will miss those times with Tony but will always reflect on the good times we shared. To Mrs. Brown and family - may the Lord give you strength, comfort and peace during this time. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
