Mrs. Theresa Jackson McFarlin ,62 ,of Charlotte, NC, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at her residence. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm.

Theresa Gail Jackson (McFarlin) was born to Frances Elizabeth Walker and Johnny James Jackson on January 22, 1957, in Charlotte, NC. She attended Marie G. Davis Elementary, Smith Jr. High and Olympic High School. As a child, she attended Big Pineville AME Zion Church in Pineville, SC and later became a member of Middle Street AME Zion Church in Charlotte, NC.

Affectionately known as T-Bone, she had a beautiful and bright spirit and loved creating memories with her family; Theresa was the matriarch, the one that kept the family together. She was in constant prayer for her family; her love was tough, spontaneous, bold and most of all unconditional. You could always count on a phone call or house visit full of great advice, laughter, and love. She created the soundtrack for the Jackson family through the encouraging words of “We are One” and “Love is the Key” by Frankie Beverly and Maze. These are songs we shall never forget. Theresa loved to travel and lived her life to the fullest; she was one of GOD’s millionaire’s.

Theresa is survived by her husband Donald T. Leslie, daughter Shiebra Davis (Drew), son David McFarlin Jr., grandchildren Dartavious Rankin, Donshay Rankin (deceased), Mizia Jackson and Daquon Jones.
Great-grandsons Xzavieon Harris and Xavieon Miller.
Brothers: Johhny Jr., James, Eugene (Sandra) Michael (Joyful), Bernard (deceased), and Keyon (Barbara). Sisters: Shirley (deceased), Pamela and Barbara and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends
