Mr. Sinatra James McIntyre, Sr. , 76 of Charlotte, NC passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Atrium Health University. Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00pm. US Army Military Honors will follow the service.

Mr. Sinatra McIntyre was born July 2, 1945 in Forsyth County, Winston Salem, North Carolina. He departed this life on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Atruim Hospital, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sinatra attended Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He joined the Army at age 18, where he was a proud member of the 82 Airborne at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He worked at Blythe Construction Inc. for several years. He received his associate degree in human services technology, inducted into Phi theta Kappa, an academic honor society, where he was on the Dean list 4 out 5 years. He became a substance – abuse counselor after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree at Gardner – Webb University.

He was a proud husband and father. He was extremely devoted and served as a member of the Narcotics Anonymous Community. He was an adviser to a senior citizens council and the Dillehay Courts Kids Against Violence Program, president of the Dillehay Resident Organization and a member of the Charlotte Housing Authority Advisory Board for drugs elimination.

He was proceded in death by his father Gaddy Little, mother, Sueveria Armstrong, mama Katherine Gather, grandparents, two son-in-laws, and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

He leaves his memories to be cherised by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Ethel McIntyre, son, Sinatra McIntyre Jr., daughters, Zena McIntyre Pugh (Michael Pugh), Bernadette McIntyre Chisholm, Scheneak Goodman (Joseph Goodman), daughter, Sinetra Armstrong, sons, Johnathan McIntyre, Solomon McIntyre and Isaih McIntyre, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren all of Charlotte North Carolina; a host of cousins and friends.
