Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

It's a funny thing how our Facebook friends, people that we've never met and most probably won't ever see, become very dear friends and sometimes best friends. We share their happiness and sadness, we miss them and worry about them when they are away from FB and we mourn them, just like family, when they are gone. Few days ago, my very dear friend and sister Sara Moore Rhyne passed away after a very brave battle with cancer. I knew Sara through her wonderful group The Book shelf and We have been FB friends for 10 years. I was most privileged to be a friend of hers and always looked up at her; admiring her strength and sense of humor, her gentle soul and heart of gold. Rest in peace dearest Sara and until we meet again. Love to all Sara's family and friends from Egypt

I only knew Sara through her two Facebook groups, but we connected on so many levels. We were both night owls and sometimes in the wee hours of the morning, we would 'converse'. We even read a couple of books together! Sara touched so many people with her sense of humor and her many wonderful posts. I will sorely miss her, but I know she flies with the angels. Condolences and prayers to her family. You were truly blessed to have such a wonderful lady in your lives. The world could use thousands more just like her!

My friend and Sister, God smiled on you and you are free. I remember our talk when you encouraged me. You spoke of your faith in God and how Jesus took care of you through all that you had gone through and were going through at that time. I came by to pray with and encourage you, yet you encouraged me even more and I thank you for that. You are always in my heart and will always be a very important part of my life. I thank you for your witness and being a part of my life and allowing me to share important moments in your life. I am forever grateful to God for you. I love you dear Sister. May His peace be with you until we meet again. Thank you for sharing you life story with me. I am forever grateful.

Sara; you and I talked countless times about the “good old days” and you were so awesome with remembering everything from back in the day. My tribute is along the lines of “the good old days” you loved. Remember the old school song “May the work I’ve done speak for me” that’s all I have to say.

I only knew Sara through her facebook group (Old Movies). I thoroughly enjoyed her posts and conversing with her about old movies over the years. I am sorry to hear about this. We will miss your posts and conversations Sara. Dennis.

Sara, it is very hard for me to write this message for you, to the family, when my heart is feeling the same way that theirs is, Broken. Although most of our correspondence over the past years has been via Social Media, it was how you enjoyed it. We grew up from babies, youth, young adults, and adults. Sharing our school years from Kindergarten through Twelfth grades, Segregation through Integration, as well as sharing in all types of activities. And most of all sharing our Families and Friends. So, I will simply say I Love You and You Will Be Missed Deeply and To The Family, May God continue to Keep His Loving Arms around you all.

Sara was a classmate of mine at JH Gunn High School from the first grade until the eighth grade when they closed Gunn in 1966. Some of her classmates continued on with her until their graduation from Independence High School. I was one of the classmates who moved on to other schools. However we always remained friends. Sara will be dearly missed by all of us. She fought the good fight, she finished her course. Rest on my friend. Love Joann.
