Dr.Richard Lorenzo Newby, 92, of Charlotte, NC passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Atrium Health Main Charlotte, NC. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Bay Branch AME Zion Church 308 Bay Branch Rd. Belvidere, NC 27919. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the West Lawn Cemetery 1909 W.Main St. Elizabeth City, NC 27909. Beach River Funeral Home 310 E.Grice St. Elizabeth City, NC 27909 will be serving the Newby Family. 252-338-5065
