Service Announcements

Mr. Rashad Henry Watkins, 26, of Charlotte, NC. passed away Sunday April 29, 2018 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday May 5, 2018 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the service will follow at 2:00 pm.

Mr. Rashad Henry Watkins was born on December 22, 1991 to Robert and Deborah Watkins. He was in born Beth Isreal Hospital in New York City.

Rashad spent most of his childhood in New York City, a short time in Virginia and the rest of his life here in Charlotte, NC. He graduated from Mallard Creek High School in 2010. Rasha attended CPCC College, ITT Tech Institution and Bartending School where he received his bartending license. Rashad worked as a pre cook for major restaurants.

Rashad was very kindhearted, sweet, nice and a outgoing person. He loved to dance, draw, joke, listen to music and be the life of the party. He loved his family.

On Sunday, April 29, 2018 God called for Rashad Henry Watkins.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his mother Deborah Lawson; father Robert Watkins Jr., stepmother Detrina Watkins; brother Jaylen Robert Watkins; sisters Tatianna Cora Watkins, NaKeisha Davis, and Enchante’ Davis; uncles Earnest Lawson Jr, Luther Dennison, Jamel Solomon, Ulysses Bolden and Keith Meyers; aunts Michelle Watkins Meyers, Regina Lawson, Susie Bolden, Valerie Lawson, Antoinette Lawson and Patrice Solomon, a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
