My prayers go out to the family. Nezzie was a great friend and co-worker we had a lot of good times together. She was an angel and she will truly be missed.

My heart is broken. You have done so much for me in the few years we have known each other. You always gave the best advice. You made sure the guys out in the field were always well taken care of. You cared about each and every one of us. You also preached to upper management to make sure the site guys were happy. I loved that from you. You we forever be missed dearly. I cried when you retired. I cried when you retired from this world. But I was happy for you both times. No more pain. No more worries. I pray for your family.

I feel so Fortunate to have met Nezzie Russell here at Mecklenburg County. I got to know her just after our move to Suttle Avenue in 2015. Nezzie joined us many times at Lunch and we had a lot of laughs together there and in the Breakroom area throughout the day. Although it was a short time, I am so Happy to say that Nezzie is one of the Nicest People I have ever known. My Most Sincere Condolences to her Family,Loved Ones and her many Friends.

Nezzie, You will be missed by Ethel and myself more than you will know! For the special things you did for me and the talks we had I thank you. To your family I leave you with Isaiah 55:12 "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace: the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees will clap their hands"

Please accept my condolences on the loss of Ms. Nezzie. I am truly saddened by the news of her passing. I worked with her for a few years before she retired from LUESA (Mecklenburg County)and she was truly a sweetheart. I don't ever remember seeing her without a huge smile on her face. I pray that God gives you all the comfort that you need during this time. What a joy to know that we will see her again in Heaven.

Sending my prayers of comfort to the Moore and Russell family. Nezzie was a star to everyone who knew her. I meet Nezzie in 2003 when I started working for the SWS. Nezzie took me under her wing. We had great conversations and even found out we knew a lot of the same people. I loved Nezzie for always smiling and being a kind soul. She will be greatly missed by me and many others. RIH Nezzie

Broderick, Dell and Nick you are certainly in my prayers. I'm at a loss for words as I comment on this page about my dear friend Nezzie. This is hard!!! In times like these we can't lean on our own understanding, we must lean on God for strength in dealing with the void that she has left. Please know that I will be there for you in the days, weeks and months ahead.
