Service Announcements

Ms Mary  Miller – Jenkins 70 of Charlotte, NC. passed away Wednesday November 15, 2017 at Levine & Dickson Hospice Southminster. Funeral service will be held Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

Mary Elouise Miller-Jenkins was born in Pageland SC on July 26, 1947 to the late Billy Miller and Evelyn Newman-Blakeney.  She transitioned from labor to reward on November 15, 2017 in Charlotte, NC.

Mary attended Jefferson High School in Pageland, SC and later moved to Charlotte NC where she was employed at Carolinas Medical Center. She was a dedicated worker who enjoyed taking care of others and making sure their needs were met.  She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She enjoyed hosting holiday dinner parties where BINGO was sure to be a part of the fun and games.  She was a great baker and well known for her 7UP cake and pound cakes.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dwisac Jenkins and sister Judy Davis.

Mary leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her daughters, Joyce Sturdivant of Charlotte NC and Chantelle Miller-Phillips (Roderick) of Pineville NC; grandchildren- Kiera Sturdivant, Sidney Summerville, LaPorcha Archie and Sierra Archie of Charlotte, NC; siblings- Gwendolyn Miller-Morris, Pearlie Miller, Beverly Mungo (James), Linda McIntyre, Carolyn Miller of Charlotte, NC and Lillie Bigby of Cheraw, SC; brothers, Daniel Miller, Nelson Miller of Charlotte NC, Colis Miller Jr. of Pageland SC, and Rayvon Miller (Ingrid) of Indian Trail, NC.
