Ms Mary Davis,94 of Charlotte, NC passed away Friday, August 21,2020 at Pelican Healthcare Charlotte, NC . Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 517 Baldwin Ave. Charlotte, NC 28204. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am and the service will follow at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in the Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens 11201 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntersville, NC 28078.

DAVIS, Mary, age 94, of Charlotte passed away Friday August 21, 2020. She was a graduate of West Charlotte Senior High School; a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served as the Church Secretary, member of the Usher Board and organized and headed the church’s Child Day Care Center. She was employed for many years at the Button Shop in downtown Charlotte and Pharr Yarns in McAdenville, N.C. Her passion was working with children as a teacher’s aide for the Metro School for cognitive disable children.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Marshall Ann Davis Nail, she is survived by her twin sister, Martha Davis Lytch and her granddaughter Sophia Nail President and three great grandchildren: William Marshall Taylor, Asia Ballen, and Candace Ballen and her great grandchildren; niece, Margret Davis Norwood and special family friend, Marilyn “Dee Dee” Brewton; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 517 Baldwin Ave, Charlotte, NC 28204, Rev. J.A. Cuthberson officiating. Visitation at 12 noon, services at 12:30. Interment is at Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens in Huntersville , NC. Long & Son Mortuary is in Charge.
