Mrs. Maritza Powell Venson, 82, of Matthews passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at Novant Health Matthews. Public viewing will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, January 3 , 2023 at Walking by faith Community Church 2105 Rice Rd. Matthews, NC 28105. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the Service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery 381 Crestdale Rd. Matthews, NC 28105.
