Service Announcements

Mrs. Mae Frances Raley, 94, 0f Charlotte, NC, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Saturn Nursing & Rehab Center. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at First Baptist Church West 1801 Oaklawn Ave. Charlotte, NC 28216. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens 11201 Beatties Ford Rd. Huntersville, NC 28078.

Mrs. Mae Frances Horton Raley, also acknowledged as Maybaby was born in Kershaw County, S.C. on March 11, 1925, to the late Jim (Shack) Horton, and Daisy Stewart Horton.

Mae Francis was educated in Kershaw and Lancaster County, S.C. Mae Frances was the sixth child of nine siblings. The siblings was Beckham, Leroy, Charlie, Minnie Lee, Delbert, Richard, Nora Dee, and Wilson Horton. Mae Frances attended Rocky Branch Baptist Church where she joined and attended until her health started to declined. Mae Frances worked at Holly Farms, Monroe, N.C. for fifteen years and retired from Cannon Mills in Concord, N.C.

Mae Frances married Frank Raley Sr. on September 14, 1941. Frank and Mae had eight children, Frank Sr., Collie Raley, Ada Mae Adams, Horlis Raley, and Garfield Raley preceded her in death.

Mae Frances leaves to cherish Hattie Mae (Robert) Robinson, Beverly Delorlis (Harvey Lee) Crowder, Frank Jr. (Michelle) Raley and Jackie Raley, all of Charlotte, N.C. Mae has twenty grandchildren and forty-six great grandchildren and thirty size great great grands. One daughter in-law Evelyn Raley, one brother in-law Elrec Robinson of Monroe, N.C. and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
