Rev. Dr. Lincoln Coleman Lee, 52, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center Rock Hill, SC.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Silver Mount Missionary Baptist Church, 501 W. Arrowood Rd. Charlotte, NC 28217. On Friday, June 14, 2019 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the church, Dr. Lee will lie in Honor. On Saturday, June 15, 2019, Public Viewing will begin from 11:00 am- 12: Noon, from 12: Noon – 1:00 pm Quiet Hour, the service will begin at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the William Lee, Jr. Scholarship Fund at 501 W. Arrowood Road, Charlotte, NC 28217.

A Time to be Born
On February 11, 1967, the breath of God blew upon the earth, and once again man became a living soul. As God exhaled, He gave life to the son of the late
William J. Lee, Jr. and Sarah Coleman Lee. On Thursday, June 6, 2019, God inhaled and called Lincoln Coleman Lee from his earthly cares and toils . . .
He called him back unto Himself.
A Time to Grow
Lincoln was the youngest of six sons who grew up in the Derida neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. He was well loved and some may even say,
spoiled by the mothers in the church. It wasn’t hard to believe that one day he would actually become a preacher and Pastor because he would often stand on
a wooden box in his backyard playing the role of a Pastor. His mother would often witness Lincoln setting his church up in the backyard. He would assign
a position for each one of his friends to serve in. One friend served as aDeacon, one as an Usher and he didn’t forget to have a Trustee to collect the
money. Little did he know that God was using and preparing him at such an early age for the journey of his life.
A Time to Learn
Lincoln attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from North Mecklenburg Senior High School, Class of 1985. Upon the completion of
High School, he continued his education at Shaw University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1989.
In the fall of 1989, Lincoln entered Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC. He served in many leadership capacities while attending Hood and
received his Master of Divinity Degree in 1993. He obtained his Doctorate of Religion Degree in May of 2000 from New Vision University, Lincolnton,
NC.
A Time to Live for God
Lincoln received his call to the ministry in March of 1985. Lincoln had the opportunity to follow his father and former pastor of Silver Mount Baptist
Church the late Rev. Dr. William J. Lee, Jr. to Conventions, Conferences and other religious events. He had the honor and privilege to minister the Word of
God at the local Baptist Association, Women’s Foreign Mission of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and many churches – both in and
out of state.
Lincoln was appointed by God to be the Faithful and dedicated Shepherd of

Silver Mount Baptist Church for more than 25 years. He served as First Vice-Moderator for the Mecklenburg General Baptist Association. In 2012, the Mecklenburg General Baptist Association and the Mount Peace Association merged together and is now the United Missionary Baptist Association. Dr.

Lee served as First Vice Moderator until 2017. On September 24, 2016, Pastor Lee received the Gospel Image Award because of his spiritual
leadership in the community. The Gospel Image Awards were created by The Praise Café TV Network to honor those who achieve spiritual excellence
through Christian ministry.
A Time to Remember
Lincoln was a very dependable, trustworthy, and a lover of people. He was a peacemaker and didn’t have a harsh word to say about anyone. He always
wanted everyone to get along and to allow peace to be in the midst of whatever was going on. He aspired to be the best that he could be for Jesus and to accomplish with excellence the mandate that was upon his life. He stayed before the Lord asking Him to, “order his steps in thy word and let not any iniquity have dominion over him.” He committed his walk and life to God with a promise to live a consecrated life before the Lord and His people. His mission was to gather Gods people to jointly work together to bring them into the knowledge of the Son of God, through work of the ministry which
magnifies the body of Christ. To preach and teach God’s Word, to p r o v i d e  p a st o r a l  c a r e  a n d leadership, to equip the Saints for the work of the ministry.
A Time to Love
Lincoln united in holy matrimony to the former Charlene D. Boyd on January 22, 1999. They have three gifted sons; DeMarquay, DeQuann & DeMariez. Lincoln loved his boys and they loved him as well. He enjoyed spending time with his family. There wasn’t a day that didn’t go by that he and his brothers wouldn’t call each other. If one didn’t hear from the other, they would all begin to call until they reached each other. Lincoln loved his
Sister-In-Laws and they were ALLhis favorite, especially when the other one wasn’t present. If Sherri wasn’t around, Doreen was his favorite, if Doreen
wasn’t around, Sherri was his favorite. Freddie Mae would have been in the mix as well, but she doesn’t live in Charlotte. The love for his family was
very important and that’s the reason why he participated in every family event that was planned if he was available. Lincoln had a very special
relationship with his father-In-Law, Mr. C. D. Boyd. They enjoyed eating dinner together every Sunday and sitting around the house playing cards and
board games. Lincoln enjoyed his preacher friends. They had a unique relationship. The Monday night Ministers Conference provided them an
opportunity to worship, fellowship and discuss important issues. This was also a time they enjoyed laughing at and with one another.
A Time to Mourn
Lincoln was preceded in death by two brothers: Dwayne and Tim Lee and one sister: Juliette Lee.
A Time for Peace
Lincoln leaves to cherish his fond memories; his wife Charlene D. Lee, three sons: DeMarquay, DeQuann & DeMariez Ruffin all of Charlotte, NC;
three brothers: Joseph (Doreen) Lee, William Eric Lee, Terry (Sherri) Lee all of Charlotte, NC; one Sister-In- Law: Freddie Mae Lee of Seaside, CA; two
uncles: Daniel Lee and Orange Coleman both of Charlotte, NC; three aunts: Lillie Stitt of New York, Mamie Stafford of Charlotte, NC and Kayrene
Mimms of Matteson, IL.: Mother & Father-In-Law. C. D. & Roberta Boyd, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He also leaves the faithful and
loving saints of Silver Mount Baptist Church.
A Mission Completed
Lincoln wrote the vision and God made it possible. He leaves with us this scripture: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall
reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-
