Mrs. Lillie Ruth Edwards,77, of Charlotte, NC. passed away Monday July 2,2018 at Carolinas Medical Center – University. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 6,2018 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the service will follow at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte,NC 28211.

Lillie Ruth (Diggs) Edwards, 77 of Charlotte NC was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 2, 2018.
She is survived by her devoted & loving husband of almost 50 years, Charles Edwards, 2 children, daughter Bridget and son, Brett; 4 siblings Hattie Delores Willis (Alexander) of Matthews NC, Mary Davis (Stanley) of Charlotte NC, Larry Diggs (Rhunette) of Charlotte, NC; Timothy Diggs (Linda) 9 nieces & nephews, 13 great nieces & nephews, 3 grand-dogs and countless number of people who loved her.
Her studies & career were in business & accounting. Including tax preparer & instructor and in retail She was a lifelong servant of the Lord leading roles in ministries at Original Glorious Church of God in Christ in Huntington WV, Honored with a host of service awards including National Secretary for State Convention & served as a tireless leader at Real Life Church in Huntington WV. She was also a faithful member of Life Center International in Charlotte NC.
She was an avid seamstress and quilt maker. She was a member of Quilters Club in Huntington WV.Lillie Ruth (Diggs) Edwards, Charlotte, North       Carolina was called home to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, July 2, 2018. Lillie was born on April 16, 1941 in Huntington, West Virginia, to Ollie and Hattie Lee (Martin) Diggs who preceded her in death.

Lillie graduated from Huntington High School, attended Huntington Business College and Marshall University where she studied business and accounting. Her studies and career included tax preparer and instructor at H&R Block and in retail. She was an avid seamstress and quilt maker.

She was a lifelong servant of the Lord evidenced by her leading roles in ministries at Original Glorious Church of God in Christ, Huntington, West Virginia. She was honored with a host of service awards including National Secretary for State Convention, Young People Willing Workers, and led weekly midday prayer for many years. She served as a tireless leader at Real Life Christian Center Church, Huntington, West Virginia, and was also a faithful member of Life Center International Charlotte, North Carolina, where she served with the Seniors Ministry
