Mommie, words can not express how broken I am. I really miss your laugh, daily phone calls and words of encouragement. Please know that Daddy, Charlene, Drake and I are hanging in there. Never did we know God would call you home so soon. We loved ourselves some Lillie Bell but God loved you best! Love you Mommie!!!!

WHEREAS, Lillie Bell Scott was born Tuesday, October 12, 1948 in the Faucette Township, Halifax County, North Carolina to William Henry and Betty Bowser Scott, WHEREAS, Lillie Bell Scott was granddaughter of Willie and Lillie Bell Scott as well as Edgar and Dessie Bowser, WHEREAS, Lillie Bell Scott became the bride of Paul Thornton Davis on Saturday, June 3, 1972 connecting with the Robert Washington and Anise Thornton Family. WHEREAS, Lillie Scott Davis is mother of Charlene Theresa Davis Preston and mother-in-law of Eddie Daryl Preston of Rustburg, Virginia as well as Chrystal Laverne Davis of Plano, Texas, WHEREAS, Lillie Scott Davis is maternal grandmother of Drake Edward Preston of Rustburg, Virginia, WHEREAS, Lillie Scott Davis is sister of William Scott of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, WHEREAS, Lillie Bell Scott Davis passed from this life into Glory on Saturday, March 17, 2018 leaving a mass of family and friends, AND WHEREAS, Lillie Bell Scott Davis has led a productive life, she, along with her family and all the above mentioned fore parents, yet have stories to tell and memories to unfold: BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Robert and Anise Thornton Family History Committee with deepest heartfelt sympathy, offer our support and promise that we will endeavor to uphold family ties and traditions through our prayers, participation and continued research, in the fervent effort to keep the memories of our ancestors alive in our hearts and to continue to learn and share the experiences and love of our family with one another.
