Mr. Lem Long, Jr. age 94 of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on February 7, 2016 at Asbury Care Center, Charlotte, NC. Celebration of his life will be on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Greater Gethsemane A.M.E. Zion Church, 531 Campus St., Charlotte, NC 28216 at 12:00pm. Public viewing will be Friday, February 12, 2016 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel from 9am to 4pm. The Wake service will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, 2723 Lawyers Rd. W, Indian Trail, North Carolina 28079. The Remains will lie in state Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Military Service and Final Disposition will take place at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, 2723 Lawyers Rd. W, Indian Trail, North Carolina 28079.
