Mr.Larry Ulysses Anderson 70, of Charlotte,NC/ passed away Wednesday September 26,2018 at WG. Hafner Medical Center Salisbury,NC. Funeral service will be held Wednesday,October 3,2018 at Memorial Presbyterian Church 2600 Beatties Ford Rd. Charlotte,NC 28216. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Military rites and interment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery 501 Statesville Ave. Salisbury, NC 28144.

 

Mr. Larry Ulysses Anderson quieted departed into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Larry was born on October 30,1947 to the late Ulysses Anderson and Janie Anderson in Charlotte N.C.

He leaves in loving appreciation his son Eric Anderson and wife Tanisha, and their son Eric Anderson Jr. He leaves cherished memories and love to a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Larry was the eldest of five siblings (all brothers) Gary Anderson, Curtis Anderson, Hayward Anderson and Derwin Anderson.

Larry was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. He was a proud member of the 1966 West Charlotte Lions which he celebrated yearly. He attended College at Central Piedmont Community College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Larry had extensive training in purchasing and sales and used them in his entrepreneurial endeavors.

Larry was a United States Army Veteran who served from 1969-1972. He served overseas in Germany and in many locations across the US.
Larry was also a blessed and grateful child of God. For the last 30 plus years of his life Larry was a faithful member of Memorial Presbyterian Church. LA, as he was affectionately known, loved his Memorial church family. He was a member of the choir and took great pride in being a key member with the Presbyterian Men’s Council at the. church attending many regional conferences.

Larry always carried a smile along with his easy going soul. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten as he has been called to a higher place.
