Kenitra was a great writer and a loving mother. She was invited to talk about domestic violence and spent time for those causes including battered women. She always had a beautiful smile, infectious laugh and a kind heart. She cared very deeply for her family. My heartfelt condolences to her family and she will be terribly missed.

Kenitra was a very special person: a loving mother, a caring wife, a dedicated teacher, an enthusiastic writer, and a good friend. I know she will be missed by many. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have known her over the past 15 years, and I pray for her family, whom she loved so much, as they struggle to go on without this extraordinary woman in their lives. May she rest in peace.

Her smile and laughter lit up everyone around her. She did so much for her students and always offered to help others. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
