Service Announcements

Mr. Justin Jermaine Norman 33 , of Charlotte. passed away Saturday September 8,2018 at Carolinas Medical Center- Main. Funeral service will be held Thursday September 13,2018 at Greater Gethsemane AME Zion Church 531 Campus St. Charlotte, NC 28216. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm and the service will follow at 3:00 pm.

Justin Jermaine “JJ” Norman was born in Charlotte, NC on September 29, 1984 to Larry and Joyce Kirkpatrick (Norman). He was born the second of five children.

JJ graduated from Harding University High School. Upon graduating he attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC.

There was nothing more important to JJ than his family and friends. He was a loving and giving person. Those who knew JJ would describe him as a loyal and kindhearted man. Aside from his loved ones, JJ was also passionate about fashion. He loved to add to his sneaker collection.

JJ entered into eternal rest on September 8, 2018. He is preceded in death by his  father, Larry Kirkpatrick; grandparents, James and Dorothy Norman; Curlee and Margaret Kirkpatrick, uncle, Allen Jackson; aunt, Ella Norman.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his beloved daughter, Milan Moses-Norman; brother La’Mont Norman (Tamisha); sisters Leianette Kirkpatrick, Jarrica Kirkpatrick, Larrian Kirkpatrick, Stephanie Houston, LaShonda Robinson; cousin Dion Norman; brother-friend Warren Hines; Godfather, Reverend George E. Battle, Jr. a special cousin in CA; his cherished nieces and nephew Anaiya, Zuri, Ari, Kerrington and Kelani; godsons, Jedontay and Deshane Lee.  He also has a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
