Mr. Joseph Jacob “Jake “ Suggs, Jr. 71 of Charlotte, NC passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Levine & Dickson Aldersgate Hospice House. Mr. Suggs was the only son of the late Joseph Suggs, Sr. and Christine Webber-Suggs.
He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Charlotte Golfing Seniors, the Hidden Valley Optimist Club, and the National Association of Sports Officials.
Jake is survived by his daughter Christina Milton and granddaughter Inda Milton of Gibsonville, NC; long-time companion Marian Miller of Laurens, SC, and a host of relatives, Fraternity brothers, and close friends.
A walk through viewing will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Oaklawn Cemetery 1615 Oaklawn Ave. Charlotte, NC 28216.
