I have just learned of the death of my NC A&T classmate. I first meet John back in 1962. We spent some fun times chit chatting in both Scott and Cooper Halls. I am sending this written condolence to convey my heartfelt sympathy to you.

I am deeply saddened by John’s death. He was a gentle giant, a true friend and my boyhood hero and role model as a West Charlotte High quarterback. As an adult, I came to know John as a good man who was devoted to preserving the WC legacy ken. Rest In Peace

To the Family of John Granger: Harriet Gentry Love and I are very sorry for the lost of "Big John". Harriet goes back to the first grade at Fairview Elementary School and I the seventh grade Northwest Junior High School. John and I starting playing golf together, lived on the same street and done a lot of things together (Smile). We will miss the calls 3 and 4 times a day about anything. We have lost a life long best friend. John Willie Love, Sr., Harriet Gentry Love, John Willie "Buddy" Love, Jr. and Jewel Christain Love will be praying for the family. John Love, Charlotte, NC
