Share your Memorial with Family & Friends
My heart goes out to Claytonia, Joseph and the Williams family and friends of Joel in your time of sorrow. I know Joel has left you with many precious memories from his 36 way too short years with us. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father, "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. I pray it will bring you comfort to please watch this beautiful video (song 144) entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO

You will surely be missed Joel. I only knew you for a short time but I could tell that you had a big heart and was an extremely driven person. You were intelligent, focused, and helpful to anyone that needed assistance. The universe will miss your energy Joel. Rest up brother the Main man up top needed you more. Blessings.

I had the pleasure of styling Joel's hair for 8yrs. He was my client that turned into family. Whenever I needed to talk to someone he always was there to give me a shoulder to lean on. My kids loved him..one year he brought my boys Christmas gifts..that's just how big his heart was. It hurts me to know that I wont get that call or text anymore saying "I need my hair done", but I know you've walked in the gates of heaven and told everyone who styled ya hair and told them to save a place for me cus I gotta keep your hair "tight". I love you Joel. Rest in paradise.

I met Joel several years ago at a "gathering place" here in Charlotte. He was one of the first people that came over and spoke to me. At that time, he made me feel so comfortable and because of his caring-- I've returned to that place often. Anytime I saw Joel---i could expect to see his bright wide smile. He was passionate about his friends, knew exactly how to have a good time, loved to laugh, tell jokes, "read" folks and "throw shade"!!! I will miss him, his smiles, his laughter and his excitement for life!! My prayer for his family and friends is that they find comfort in fond memories shared with Joel during this difficult time!!!

Joel, You left your hand print on my heart. You ALWAYS showed me a lot of respect. You uplifted me during my many times of sorrow and without fail, you gave me a good laugh EVERY month. My heart smiles as I envision you hugging your grandmother in heaven. Dream peacefully for all of eternity. Love "Ms. Genice and Mr. Isaac" The Family, We are very sorry you lost a son and brother. You should be very proud that Joel represented your family well. My husband and I have been deeply affected by losing another good person in our lives. I hope somehow my words that are hard to form at this moment will be a comfort to you. God Bless your family. With our deepest sympathy, Isaac and Genice Jackson
