Service Announcements

Mr. Joel Antonio Williams 36 , of Charlotte, NC. passed away Tuesday August 15, 2017 at his residence. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday August 23, 2017 at Long & Son Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm.

Joel Antonia Williams was born on August 31,1980 in Baltimore, Maryland to Claytonia Williams and Joseph McKinney. On August 15,2017, he departed this life suddenly he is proceeded in death with his maternity grandparents (Inez and Nathaniel Williams) and paternity grandparent (Alice and Joe McKinney).

Joel attended Baltimore city public school where he graduated from Lake Clifton, at an early age Joel had the passion and driven to be successful at anything he put his mind to, at the age of 16 Joel was offered a position with McDonald Inc, in which he was given the position of a shift manager where he worked until he was offered a store manager position with Arby and Five Guys, then in 2011 Joel relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina when he became the district store manager of family dollar/dollar tree.

Joel was always the life of the party, to know him was to love him, Joel was a very private person however if he liked/ loved you he allowed you into his life, he had a smile that was out of this world and the love he had for his mom and sisters was impactable. Joel was always hardworking and driven and enjoyed life to the fullest every day, he was the type of person whom can meet and make friends anywhere he went. Joel will be greatly missed.

Joel leaves to cherish his memories with grateful hearts, his parents: Claytonia Williams and Joseph McKinney, two sister Shana Blair and Britony Ford, one brother-in-law Maurice Ford, three nephews Kevin, Kaden and Korey Blair. Several aunt and uncle Cheryl, Yolanda, Eunice, Anthony, Nathaniel, Bruce and Steve two special friend ‘Catherine Harris and Dexter Scott” and a host of other relatives and friends.
