Gilbert and I had been friends since the 8th grade. He was so smart, very vibrant, and jolly. His voice will be remembered as a joy to hear. His presence was always felt. I will miss his wealth of Bible knowledge. We enjoyed many conversations on the Bible. I will miss that. The Phifer family has my deepest sympathy.
