Service Announcements

Mr. Georgia Everett-Thomas Black, 75, of Charlotte passed away Saturday, January 12,                           2020 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at Greater Providence Baptist Church 2000 Milton Rd. Charlotte, NC 28215. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens 1420 Sugar Creek Rd. West Charlotte, NC 28262.

Mr. Georgia Black “Joe”, 75 son of the late William and Dorthy Miller was born on April 21, 1944 in Chesterfield, SC, he departed this earthly home on January 11, 2020 at his home of residence.

Georgia “Joe” attended the Chesterfield Public School System. He was employed with Martin Landscaping where he retired after many years of being a devoted to his job.

Georgia “Joe” was a man who loved his family, he was a farther figure to all his grandkids and nephews. He was a great teacher to his grandkids and always took on others as need to and didn’t take no mess.

Georgia “Joe” was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Willie Miller and one son Michael Baskins.

He leaves to cherish his wife Betty Miller his three daughters Mary (Delores) Miller, Alfreida (Fregal) Bennett, and Linda (Lindbug) Miller all of Charlotte, NC, two sons David Miller and Roger Baskins of Lancaster, SC. Once sister Leanne Austin of Pageland SC, one brother Jhonny B. Miller (Florice), Marion Miller wife of Willie Miller Miller, 18 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and other family.
