Bishop George Edward Battle, Jr. 77, of Davidson, NC passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at his residence. Public viewing and visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Greater Gethsemane AME Zion Church 531 Campus St. Charlotte, NC 28216 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Celebration of his life will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 on the campus of Livingstone College Varick Auditorium 701 Monroe St. Salisbury, NC 28144 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Greater Enrichment Program Inc. 2035 Patton Ave. Charlotte, NC 28216 (704) 334-8518.
