Service Announcements

Mrs. Etha Morella Wallace Edwards, 89, of Charlotte,NC, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Atrium Health University Charlotte. Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 7,2019 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church 2020 Sugar Creek Rd. West Charlotte, NC 28269. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm and the service will follow at 2:00pm.

Etha Morella Edwards, age 89, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2019 in Charlotte, NC. She was born on February 21, 1930 in Halls Delight, Saint Andrew, Jamaica, to the late Ivan and Francella Daisy Wallace.  After the passing of her husband Etha migrated to the United States to be with her children.

She is survived by five children; Marva Hall, Enid Edwards- Gowie, Carol Edwards-King, Stanley Edwards, and Janet Edwards. Six grandchildren; Andre Gordon, Brent Gordon, O’dane Ellis, Rashida Alberga, Tiffannie Small and Tahir Alberga. Ten great-grandchildren and five siblings; Hazel Wallace, Senica Hyman, Kingsley Wallace, Lyvirn Wallace and Anthony Wallace, two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded by her husband Stanley Edwards in 1983, her daughter Charlene Edwards in 1987 and her sister, Islyn Lewis in 2015. Etha will be greatly missed and remembered.
