To: Cheryl, Scooby, Stephen and the grand children Let me be the first to express my sorrow for the loss of my dear brother. He was named after his father and so was I. We both shared the love of our Mother, Louise Byrd Weaver Walker. He was born eleven years before me and I always liked being his little brother. Most people around Spartanburg know me as "Salt". That nick name was inherited from El Willie, for he was also known as "Salt", so naturally as I came on the scene (10 yrs old or so )I became "little Salt". I cherished the nick name because it linked me directly to my big brother El Willie or Big June (as used by the immediate family). And I was known as Sonny by the immediate family. The last time I saw him he expressed that he always love me. I just regret not spending more time with him as we both became senior citizens. I was always proud to be his little brother. For he was a great man and raised a great family after marrying a great women (Elma). He labored as a brick mason in his early adult years and later retired from DuPont Corporation after working ten or more years at DuPont in Atlanta when he had to drive back and forth from Atlanta to Charlotte on the weekends. He was a man of God, a family man, a Mason and an active lodge member for nearly fifty years. He taught me how to dress for success, how to be a gentlemen around women, and how to be a good man. I say he had "A life well lived". Rest in Peace my Brother. Sonny Columbia, SC

To the entire family of Mr. Weaver, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Praying for your peace, comfort and the love of God to embrace your entire family. Mr. Weaver was not stingy in sharing his love upon people. He loved and adopted my family and I, and we loved him back equally.
