When I first got word of my Uncle’s passing, I will admit had mixed emotions about it. On one hand I felt the initial sadness of losing another Uncle or Aunt on my father’s side. I was sad for my Uncle and his immediate family due to he had also suffered a loss over a decade ago. On the other hand, I was relieved of sorts that his Soul was in a better place. I knew and had confirmed that Uncle BT was in a lot of discomfort. The pain was from what I was told, consistent pain that he had dealt with ever since he came back from the Vietnam War. For this point, I know that he has gone on to be with the Lord and has no more pain and that in itself is a blessing. My prayer is that Uncle BT’s immediate family as well as his extended family be given the strength and guidance to be strong during this difficult time and that the Lord grants his family mercy, wisdom and understanding to realize that even though Uncle BT is not physically on this Earth anymore but he will always be with his family in spirit until we all meet up with him again in the hereafter. R.I. P. Uncle BT – no more pain…… Sincerely CL Canady, son of Alfred and Mary Alice Canady Jr.

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord for ever. –1 Thess. 4:13-17 (New International Version) Until then, My brother, my love is with you always... Good Night!
