Dupree and I met for breakfast for several years at Dunkin Doughnuts from 2009-2014. Dupree had a shining smile and great personality. He loved his trips to Cherokee and spoke highly of his family. His black Cadillac was a fixture at DD most mornings and again I really enjoyed our morning conversations about life, politics, and again hearing of his trips and interactions. He was passionate to go out and still do things into his late years. And he encouraged me to run for judge and was a good friend to me. I will always remember Dupree.

My deepest condolences to my family. May god continue to give you all strength during your time of grief. My name is Jerry Roddy let me tell you how I met Dupree Evans. In 1965 I enlisted in the United States Navy. I was a 18 year old young man away from home looking for someone to look up to. I was chosen to play on the US Navy Football Team and that’s when I met Dupree Evans we became team mates, after a couple of practices he invited me over to hang out at his home. I was introduced to his wife and kids and after that day Dupree and I became the best of friends and over the years it turned into Family. So yes we met in 1965 and have been Family since then 58 years.

My deepest condolences to the Dupree family! May God continue to give the family strength during their time of grief. Mr Dupree was a funny man and loved his wife Joan. He would asked for her offer during his time at Lakeside Health and Rehabilitation Center. Once she walked through the door of his room, his face would light up with a bright smile. It was a pleasure and joy to have an opportunity to get to know Mr Dupree and be his caregiver. SIP, Mr Dupree. You will be missed.

To The Evans Family I’ve known Dupree and Joan through friends and raising our children together. Dupree was always the life of the party, we laughed and loved through it all. Dupree loved his wife Joan and children deeply. The family later moved to Huntersviille n Carolina where they retired. May the Love of God Bless them through their time Of loss.

On behalf of my husband Aaron and myself, we send our deepest and sincere condolences to the Evans and Hawkins Family. Uncle Dupree was loving, funny, a character of witty sayings, and a example of a good man, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, etc. His smile and laughter brightened up the room and would make your day. May the wonderful memories of Uncle Dupree help ease everyone's pain and sadness. It's so hard to say good-bye or see you later to someone we loved so much. But we hope the family will be able to find strength to get through this time of loss one day at a time. And until we meet again, We Love you Uncle Dupree and we'll miss you dearly. Rest In Heaven Aaron & Tanya Murphy We Love you Auntie Joann, Uncle Greg, Leonard, Kim, Dupree Jr., Uncle Roddy, and the rest of the family. To God Be The Glory!!

Uncle Dupree will surely be missed. He was definitely a deciding factor along with Pops Babers on my decision to join the Navy. He definitely taught me how to play dominos and would keep you laughing all day! He leaves a legacy that will always be honored. Rest in Heaven Unc!
