Mr. Curtis Coleman Reeves, III. 43 of Charlotte, NC passed away Saturday, December 11,2021 at His Residence. Celebration of His Life will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at Long & Son Mortuary Chapel. A walk through public viewing will begin at 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm in the Chapel.
Mr. Curtis Coleman Reeves III of Charlotte, NC passed away in his home on December 11, 2021 at the age of 43.
Curtis was born on January 4, 1978 in Washington, DC. He was the son of Dr. Curtis Coleman and Linda Darlene Reeves.
Curtis graduated from North Mecklenburg Senior High School and attended North Carolina Central University and Durham Technical Community College. Curtis worked as a revenue consultant with Pinnacle Solutions Group. He previously owned a debt services agency and a computer repair business.
Curtis was a loving father of 3 amazing children who were the most important part of his life and he cherished them dearly. He was an active outdoorsman, an avid fisherman and gardener. Curtis had a great appreciation for cooking, enjoyed various cultural cuisines, and dreamed of starting a food truck business with his great friend Cedric Chambers. He was a computer guru with an exceptional knowledge of technology and a love for electronics. Curtis will be deeply missed by this family and friends.
Curtis is survived by his son Julian Avery Reeves; his daughter, Ava Marie Reeves; his daughter Jhourni Reeves; his father, Dr. Curtis Coleman Reeves Jr. and wife Mrs. Penny Reeves; his sister, Mrs. Dawn R. Thomas and husband Mr. Jesse Malik Thomas; his step-bother, Mr. Cortez Pearson; his uncles and aunts, Mrs. Virginia R. Schexnider and husband Dr. Alvin J. Schexnider, Rev. James E. Goode, OFM, Mr. Kevin Avery and Mr. Fred Avery; and Dr. James Watkins and wife Mrs. Marie Watkins, Dr. Earl Epps and wife Mrs. Rose Epps who he also called uncles and aunts; his niece Mila Nicole Thomas; his nephew Jesse Andrew Thomas; his special friend Satirah Grant; and a host of close relatives and dear friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Linda Darlene Reeves; his grandparents, Mr. Curtis Coleman Reeves Sr. and wife Mrs. Virginia Reeves; Mr. Fred Avery Sr. and wife Mrs. Mattie Marie Avery.
