Cecil you will be greatly missed by me other family members and friends. Your days here on this earth however, were not in vain as you served your master well. You have truly ascended to the upper room. My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Marlene, Jason, and Dana. May God comfort you now.

God has called another one of His servants home. Bishop Cecil Bishop will be sorely missed. I have known him since his elevation to the Episcopacy and found him to be a compassionate person. I will always remember his visit to St. Matthew AME Zion Church in West Hempstead, NY in early 2002. My heartfelt sympathy is extended to Mrs. Marlene Y. Bishop and the children. "God will wipe all tears away."

Sister Marlene, Jason & Dana, My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time and the days ahead. GOD will keep you and strengthen you in the days ahead as I know you as a strong Christian woman is well aware of. Bishop Bishop was indeed a cherished pastor and great leader and friend for so many of us and indeed all of Zion, JWAMEZC and the worId. We have all been so blessed to be favored with his love and leadership for this period of his life. I know you will miss him dearly but GOD has the final answer on our time and He has beaconed your husband and father to come home and take his eternal rest.
