Calvin Brown was one of the first lawyers to congratulate me and give me advice when I was hired as a Charlotte Assistant City Attorney in the 80s. My deepest sympathy is extended to the family and colleagues who also hold fond, appreciative memories of him.

May the memory of Atty Brown be a blessing forever to all who knew and loved him. Mrs. Brown was my PE teacher at J.H.Gunn and his neice Anita Beason Gibbs was a dear college mate.

He transformed the room and set the tone in a unique and distinctive way only he could. Our memories of him will help to pay forward that precious appreciation of humanity he exhibited so well.
